Ramanathaswamy Temple
A sacred Shiva temple in Rameswaram, revered as one of India's 12 Jyotirlinga shrines and the birthplace of saints Sambandar and Appar. Famous for its longest temple corridor and 22 holy theerthams.
Agnitheertham
The holy seashore east of Ramanathaswamy Temple where pilgrims take a sacred bath before temple darshan. One of the most visited theerthams in Rameswaram.
Kothandaramaswamy Temple
A 500–1000 year-old temple believed to be the spot where Vibhishana surrendered to Lord Rama. The main idol depicts Rama holding his bow (Kothandam).
Dhanushkodi Lighthouse
A 49-meter tall lighthouse commissioned in May 2022, offering panoramic views of the Palk Strait and Gulf of Mannar from its 42-meter visitor gallery.
Arichal Munai
The southernmost tip of Rameswaram island where the Bay of Bengal meets the Gulf of Mannar. Believed to be the starting point of Ram Setu (Adam's Bridge) connecting India to Sri Lanka.
Dhanushkodi Old Town
The haunting remains of a once-bustling town destroyed by the 1964 cyclone. Explore ruins of churches, railway stations, and homes that stand as silent witnesses to history.
Pamban Bridge
A historic sea bridge first opened in 1914, connecting Rameswaram island to the mainland at Mandapam. The newly rebuilt vertical-lift bridge stands as a stunning modern landmark.
Kalam Memorial
A grand memorial built by DRDO in honor of India's beloved former President. Inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi in July 2017, it celebrates Kalam's legacy and India's cultural diversity.
Bhagavathi Amman Temple
An ancient seaside temple dedicated to Goddess Kanya Kumari (Devi Parvati), one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Famous for its sparkling diamond nose ring visible from the sea.
Gandhi Mandapam
A unique memorial built where Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were kept before immersion. Designed so the sun's rays fall on the ashes urn every October 2nd, his birthday.
Glass Bridge
India's first glass bridge connecting Gandhi Mandapam to Vivekananda Rock Memorial. A 77-meter long thrilling walkway offering breathtaking ocean views beneath your feet.
Thiruvalluvar Statue
Take a scenic ferry ride to the towering 133-foot Thiruvalluvar Statue and the historic Vivekananda Rock Memorial where Swami Vivekananda meditated in 1892.
Sunrise Point

Devipattinam Navagraha
A unique seashore temple where nine stones representing the Navagrahas (nine planets) installed by Lord Rama emerge from the sea. Devotees offer prayers in waist-deep water.
Ariyaman Beach
A pristine, less-crowded beach with shallow turquoise waters, white sands, and a long stretch perfect for swimming and water sports. One of Tamil Nadu's cleanest beaches.
Meenakshi Temple
An iconic temple complex dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar, renowned for its 14 towering gopurams adorned with thousands of colorful sculptures. A masterpiece of Dravidian architecture.
Koodal Azhagar Temple
An ancient Vishnu temple where the Lord is uniquely worshipped in three postures – sitting, standing, and reclining – on three different levels. One of the 108 Divya Desams.
Thirumalai Nayakkar Mahal
A 17th-century palace built by King Thirumalai Nayak, blending Dravidian and Islamic architectural styles. Famous for its massive pillars, grand courtyards, and evening sound-and-light shows.
